The integration of Concentrating Solar Power (CSP) in combined cycles is a subjects increasing attention. Combined require high temperature at the gas turbine inlet (typically over 1000 °C), which hinders plant operation absence direct solar radiation using currently commercial storage technologies based on molten salts (with limit around 600 °C). Thus, power share current Integrated Cycles (ISCC) typically lower than 20%, while most thermal required provided by natural gas. present manuscript proposes Thermochemical Energy Storage (TCES) system Calcium-Looping process, can release stored energy temperatures above °C. charging step uses heat CO2 stream previously heated high-temperature receiver. configuration receiver-calciner fundamental to determine amount storable energy.
